Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash live

Yesterday I played at @openmicgalway like every week, and I think it was my best performance so far ☺️
For the occasion, I picked my beloved ‘Ring of Fire’ by Johnny Cash. I love this song, and I’ve played it a thousand times. In fact, during these weeks in Ireland, every time I’ve played it on the street, at a party, in a pub, and so on, I’ve noticed people really like it and everyone knows the song 🎵

Every time I play, I try to improve something. Actually, every time I do anything I try to get better at something, that’s how I think and feel. I need to improve singing, cooking, going for a walk, doing anything. That’s what makes me happy, what moves me and motivates me.

This time I wanted to gain composure, I always get very nervous before going on stage. So I chose a song that gives me a lot of confidence, a song I have no doubts about and make completely my own. Also, every time I practiced during the week, I did some visualization and meditation exercises my mom recommended, which are now part of my routine. Every day for a little while, I stand up with my guitar, start playing, close my eyes, and visualize the applause at the end of the song, visualize the stage, the crowd, the smell of the mic. Feeling the metal strings under my fingers. Visualizing that I will do really well and imagining myself calm, interacting with the audience, confident. Very confident. And smiling, smiling a lot. I’m so happy playing and I want to transmit that on stage ☺️

Here’s the result, I’d love your feedback and to know if you sense I’m confident. Without a doubt, knowing your opinion is a key part of my progress ❤️

PS: Watch the end of the song! 😬🎉
