I love this time of year, I confess. For me, it’s not an ending but the beginning of something that can be great if you want it to be. It’s an opportunity to appreciate the path traveled and set new goals. Because without a doubt, we change, and our goals and dreams change with us.
I’m very happy about the year I’m leaving behind; I will never forget 2019. It was the year I needed. It was the year I learned to learn like a child, without worrying about the outcome. Playing. It’s wonderful when you focus on calmly enjoying things instead of on success or failure, which after all is just a simple consequence.
It was the year I learned to value myself as I deserve. Now I’m very aware of my potential and I can say it without any shame. I’m clear that I will get as far as I want.
It was the year I faced my biggest limitations and brakes: my own. I’m super proud and happy about the path I’ve taken. How I faced my own fears. How I conquered them. On the other side of fear, only wonderful things happen.
It was a year of creativity, renewal, and dreams. Of lots of music.
So thank you very much, 2019, for all those wonderful moments you gave me. Thank you for coming to all my concerts and for your unconditional support. Thank you for welcoming me to Ireland. Thank you for all the new people you put on my path and for finally removing those who no longer belong. And thank you so much for the hard moments and all their lessons.
And above all, thank you to you and everyone who, in one way or another, is part of my life. That gives meaning to everything. Happy New Year, and nice to meet you 2020, we’re going to get along famously!
