Playing ‘Heart of Gold’ by Neil Young at El Retiro (Madrid)

I’m already in Madrid! My first day here has been great, very slow-paced. I love it ☺️

I slung my guitar on my back and went for a walk with my friend @alejanmurillo, who by the way, I highly recommend you follow on Instagram—he has a super cool and inspiring project 😬

He had to leave early, but I stayed in the wonderful Parque del Retiro playing until the sun got sleepy and decided to go to sleep, gifting me a beautiful scene that I captured 🙈

This beautiful song by Neil Young talks about the search for the heart of gold, although he laments that he hasn’t found it yet, and even though he’s getting old and his strength is fading, he hasn’t stopped looking.

And what is the heart of gold? It could be a person, a place, a dream. Maybe for some, it’s a goal. For others, it’s living life intensely. Living and giving. What I’m sure of is that living and giving yourself isn’t just letting time pass and giving up. The heart of gold is that inspiration that subtly keeps you active in the search and at the same time feeds it. Life is so beautiful ❤️
