Irish Music Session: Out on the Ocean

If you’ll allow me, I’d like to share a little reflection about the importance of surrounding ourselves with the right people ☺️

Because life is exactly that: people. Nothing makes sense if it can’t be shared. Nothing makes sense if it can’t be expressed. And nothing makes sense if you can’t be yourself at every moment. And unfortunately, sometimes it’s so hard that we even sabotage ourselves out of fear of disappointing, fear of loneliness, or fear of change.

I recently learned that we are 20% of every person we surround ourselves with. If you surround yourself with trash, in the end you become trash. If you surround yourself with extraordinary people, in the end you become extraordinary. Plain and simple. Again, everything revolves around people. It always revolves around people. Always.

Many times, the people around us are our own brakes. And that doesn’t mean they don’t love us or that we should push them away from our lives, but that we must observe ourselves, understand what triggers those brakes, and act. Even if it’s hard, we have to give each person in our circle the appropriate space to move forward and grow. And in any case, if something fails, it’s my responsibility for allowing it. It’s your responsibility for allowing it.

So if you’ll let me give you some advice, from the wonderful experience I’m living having come to live alone in Ireland, expand your close circle no matter what. It’s always positive, and it’s always possible. It’s your responsibility to go out there, search, and connect with the right people. And it’s your choice to grow or to stay stuck. But please, be very clear that this life thing is all about people ❤️
