I’m going to try to put into words something that’s honestly hard to describe.
I’m privileged. Just like that.
I’m privileged to be alive. I’m privileged to have people around me who love me, and to be able to share magical moments. I’m privileged for having made the decision to fight for music, and that’s what brought me to this beautiful city ☺️
Yesterday I went out to the terrace for some tea with @formuladani and @gabrielblanchr, and the first words that came to my mind were exactly those: I’m privileged. We sat by the Corrib River, even though at that moment it didn’t seem like the fastest river in Europe. It was incredibly calm, just like we were as we talked beside it.
Of course I brought my guitar, and aside from the people with me and those passing by, I ended up playing for the most unexpected audience, straight out of a fairytale: a beautiful swan that had gotten separated from its family, and a seal swimming just a few meters away from us 🙈
There’s a legend in Galway that says if you see a seal in the river, it means Galway has captured you and you’ll stay here forever. And you know what? In that moment, I understood why I’m truly privileged ❤️
