Ladies and gentlemen! I have incredible news and please, I need advice or your opinion! 😬🔝
It turns out… I made it! I have a spot to study electric guitar in Cork! 🎸🎵 As many of you know, a few months ago I auditioned and took an exam to get into this degree. Before coming to Ireland, I got the results: I passed the test, buuuut they didn’t guarantee me a place 😭
Because of that, I made a new plan and settled in Galway. My new plan A 😬 is working great, but now they’ve offered me a place at the university and it’s throwing me off. Look, I’m super happy! I think that following my instinct and stepping out of the usual path is already a success, and getting this spot makes me feel really good, capable of achieving whatever I set my mind to, and above all, believing I’m a good musician, of course! 🎉
But of course, now I have so many doubts! I’m in the ideal situation: I can choose. I can choose to study for 4 years in Cork, a very beautiful city in the south of Ireland, surrounded by tons of musicians and having an experience that will let me become a professional guitarist 🎵. Or I can choose to continue my current life in Galway, a project I’m just starting to build. A very simple life, at my own pace, slow but active. Learning music on my own and living music intensely. Plus, I’m surrounded by people who make me feel great and Galway is my favorite place ❤️
Life is so unpredictable, it’s amazing! After all the effort it took me to get here, and how happy I am, now it offers me a new path. Whatever decision I make, I know I’ll always leave something behind. And I know both options are incredible and reinforce my commitment to music.
Please! I’d love to hear your opinion, because honestly I’m pretty confused 😅🎵 What would you do in my situation? 🙏
