I was organizing and transferring photos and videos from my phone to my computer, and I see I have tons of really cool material that I haven’t shared with you yet, but I definitely will 🙈
The truth is, I feel really comfortable in Barcelona, disconnecting, doing lots of things and all that, but I really miss the musical experience that Galway gives me. These are things I’ve never found in Barcelona, and maybe they just don’t exist there. In Ireland, I usually go with different groups of musicians to play varied musical styles, and it’s amazing in the end, I end up playing every day with so many people and in different settings. This helps me grow as a musician in ways I never imagined 🎵
So, I miss it a bit, but at the same time, I’m very, very happy to be in Barcelona. I want to share this video with you, recorded a few weeks ago in a pub in Galway. The song is by Sofía Ellar. I’ve only played it a few times, I don’t know it very well, and I’m reading the chords and lyrics as I go, but it’s really beautiful and creates a warm atmosphere. What’s incredible is that the other musicians with me in that pub were hearing the song for the first time, and they accompanied me by improvising in such an amazing way. Together we created a very special and beautiful moment, one of a kind, which I share with lots of love ❤️
