Let me tell you about a dream I had forgotten. One that used to make me feel awful… until today.
How many times in your life have you wanted to do something, but kept putting it off forever?
You know what I mean. That thing that’s super important to you, but for some reason, you just don’t do it. Maybe you’re scared, and you keep making up excuses to justify it. But the more you delay it, the worse you feel. And of course, the harder it becomes to actually do it 😔
I know people who feel that way about the guitar. They really want to play, but their guitar is just sitting there collecting dust. Every time they see it, they feel terrible for having given up on it.
You know how it is. If you don’t chase your dreams, no one’s going to do it for you.
For me, that was my YouTube channel. I started it around five years ago, and I truly loved it ☺️. I was obsessed with learning new songs, recording them in the best quality I could, and sharing them on the channel. I published 13 videos back then, and honestly, I think they’re amazing. Videos of me playing electric guitar, drums, piano, bass, and more.
But even though I loved working on the channel, I stopped. And I don’t even know why. That nagging feeling never went away. It even bothered me when someone asked about the channel. I got irritated just seeing YouTube notifications, and eventually, I muted them.
Here’s the thing. I always come back to the same question.
What would my channel look like today if I had kept posting content?
But you know what? That’s in the past now. Starting today, I’m writing a new story, and I’m really excited about it. Five years from now, I’ll be asking myself completely different questions. I’ll tell you all about it ❤️
